Counseling can be such a bold and brave step to make in the path to healing. It is my goal to make counseling a safe place for my clients as they take this courageous step. Together, my clients and I work in an atmosphere of vulnerability and authenticity to create and meet their therapeutic goals.I believe that healthy development and growth are not reached by the elimination of pain and challenges, but rather in developing healthy methods of understanding, coping with, and responding to pain. This can be a challenging, but a beautiful process, and I am honored to walk with my clients through it.

I work to find the best approach for each individual client. My blended approach draws from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. I am also trained in Brainspotting, a brain-based therapy approach that focuses on where the brain stores trauma and involves both brain and body in a dual process of healing.

As a Christian Counselor, I view my clients through a Biblical worldview but do not impose this perspective on clients. I believe that true healing comes from our Creator and that I am merely an instrument of His healing. I believe in His unconditional love and grace and consider it an honor to be an instrument of this love and grace to my clients.

I earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree from UNCC and a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling at Gordon Conwell-Theological Seminary in Charlotte. I am a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (#13613). My clinical experience includes working with teenagers and women struggling with trauma, work/life balance, anxiety, boundaries, guilt/shame, identity issues, life transitions, self-esteem, depression, and loss.

On a more personal note...I enjoy being outside (especially in the mountains!), painting, spending time with my family, watching football (Go Broncos!), and trivia/game nights with friends (although I’m not so good at the trivia!).
