KAITLIN TURMEL

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and completed my Master of Social Work degree at the University of Arkansas in 2017. Since then, I have provided therapy in various outpatient settings. As I meet with clients I largely utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, play therapy, and attachment based interventions. 

 

I am passionate about working with children (ages 5+) and adolescents who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, life changes, school functioning, social engagement, and self esteem. Depending on the need, I may also work with their parents concurrently to support them in their efforts to better understand and respond to their child in a way that encourages growth and connection with one another. I also enjoy working with college aged women who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, or difficulty navigating emerging adulthood. It is a privilege to play a role in supporting individuals and families as they move through challenges, experience new insights, and grow in their areas of need. 

 

When I am not seeing clients I love spending time with my family, trail running, being outside, and game nights with friends (as long as the rules of the game don’t take longer than 15 minutes to explain).
