As a therapist, my goal is to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and encouraged. I know therapy can be both challenging and rewarding, so I do my best to balance the hard work with moments of encouragement and fun!

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Appalachian State University in 2008 and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2017. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina (License #13820).

I’ve had the privilege of working with teens and adults on concerns like depression, anxiety, trauma, and life changes. My specialties include helping clients heal from trauma, navigate the impact of domestic violence or sexual assault, and learn healthy ways to manage intense emotions. For those who wish, I also welcome incorporating a Christian perspective into therapy, while always respecting and valuing each person’s background.

In sessions, I draw from evidence-based approaches like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I’m also trained in Brainspotting and in Problematic Sexual Behavior – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (PSB-CBT) for adolescents.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three kids. I also love animals, traveling, and eating ice cream.
