I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, working toward licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Prior to beginning my counseling education, I practiced as a physical therapist with Moses Cone Health System for over 35 years, working with individuals facing neurological, orthopedic, trauma-related, and chronic pain conditions in both hospital and outpatient settings. In that role, I walked alongside patients during some of their most vulnerable seasons, witnessing their resilience and capacity for healing.

While my Christian faith is a foundational part of who I am, I welcome clients from all backgrounds and am committed to offering a safe, compassionate and nonjudgmental space where every story is honored as they pursue growth, healing, and renewed strength.

My approach is individualized and grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, while drawing from evidence-based and relational approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, ERP, and EMDR (Basic Trainings 1 & 2). I work collaboratively with clients to create a safe, supportive environment for insight, healing, and meaningful growth.

My counseling journey has also been shaped by personal experiences of loss, including the passing of both my parents and an adult child, giving me a deep understanding of grief and mourning. I am especially drawn to supporting those facing depression, anxiety, trauma, relational conflict, religious trauma, major life transitions, and healthcare/first responder vicarious trauma.

On a personal note, I have been married to my husband, Jim, for 36 years. I enjoy time with my family, especially my grandchildren. Personally, I enjoy weightlifting, traveling, hiking, and deep conversations over a good cup of coffee with a friend.
